I’m often asked for recommendations of other suppliers within the wedding industry, in particular, photographers.

I have worked with so many fabulous ones, and to make it easier for those couples asking for recommendations, I have created a list of my favourites whom I’ve worked with numerous times. These photographers have been chosen for the following reasons:

They are talented… like, really, super, fabulously talented.

You know the ones. The ones where you see their photos you go ‘That’s not just a photo. That’s a story.’

They prefer a documentary/reportage style of photography.

Of course, there will be moments where all photographers need to give some direction to create the perfect shots. However, these photographers won’t interrupt a real moment to create a fake one, rather they’ll watch and capture the beautiful moments when they happen naturally.

They’re really nice.

I mean, I love working with nice people, and these are those kind of people. Just genuinely lovely, easy to get along with, respectful to couples, their guests, and to other vendors. I’d have any of them around for a cuppa or a wine.

They’re hard working, professional and deliver quality.

All these photographers are ninjas. They dart around, grabbing shots from various areas without anyone even noticing. It’s like magic how they produce the most stunning photographs, using the very best of techniques and equipment. Each and every one of my recommendations are professional, and are the top of their photography field. And finally, they can be trusted to deliver every time.

So… who do I love?

Kirsty at Wildflower Weddings

I’ve worked with Kirsty more than any other photographer. When I first met Kirsty at a wedding at Ewingsdale Hall where I was the celebrant and she was shooting, we clicked straight away, so much so that she asked me to be her celebrant.

That was in 2016, and we’re now great friends: I love working with her. In fact, Kirsty has done many of my professional headshots, as well as lots of photos of my dog. She’s tops.

LARA AT LARA FURST

I’ve known Lara for a number of years now, and she has the most gorgeous, earthy vibe to her. She loves dogs (almost, maybe, as much as me?), travelling (almost, maybe, as much as me?) and taking really awesome photos of awesome people (definitely more than me – my photographer skills are pretty basic…).

AIMEE AT AIMEE CATT PHOTOGRAPHY

Aimee is a bundle of creativity, wrapped in a bow of loveliness. As soon as I met her I thought ‘Hey there – you’re fun!’ and then… well, then I saw her photos and realised she was super-dooper talented too. Win/win!

AISLING at Aisling Bourke

Super chilled, super lovely, super talented – that’s Aisling. Her mission is to tell your story, to make you feel confident and comfortable, to capture your silly uncle throw down some 80’s disco moves on the d-floor, to capture the tears roll off cheeks as you say your vows, to capture the belly laughs at your speeches – you name it, she’s capturing it.

Plus she has the best (Irish) accent. Bonus.
